It’s that time of year again when the pollen is in the air and, if you are sensitive, your nose starts running and you start sneezing uncontrollably. Here’s a natural way to bring relief to your allergies. This will also help with non-pollen related allergies.
Acupressure points for allergies:
The liver plays a huge roll in detoxifying your body of allergens. If you have a poor functioning liver, or it is overloaded sending it healing energy through acupressure points can help it function better therefore relieving you of allergies. The liver acupressure point that sends energy directly to the liver organ is know as the Liver Source Point, or L3. It is located on your foot about 1 inch past the webbing in your toes between your big toe and your second toe. Hold this point for 1-2 min and breath deeply. Take note of whether you feel a pulse on this spot. Feeling no pulse at all can mean the energy is not flowing through the liver meridian while feeling a very strong pulse can mean it’s working extra hard sending healing energy to the organ. As you hold your finger on this acupressure point you may notice a change in this pulse as it regulates its flow. Do this on both feet, either at the same time or separately.
Honey for pollen allergies:
To help reduce your pollen related allergies you can also find some local raw honey and have a tablespoon a day. The antibodies in the honey will help your body recognize the pollen in your local region and will help your body process it.
Remember, a strong liver equals better processing of allergens. If your liver is weak or overloaded it may just need a little love to start working at its best again.
