Many of us from time to time feel a little out of sorts. Maybe we don’t feel all here, or we seem to be misplacing things, or just feel like we don’t have a grasp on our life. Staying grounded energetically can help with all those things. Here are a few exercises to help you keep your feet on the ground and your head attached.
1. Spoon or rub your feet. Use a stainless steel spoon and rub it on the bottoms of your feet. If you don’t have a spoon handy you can take the palm of your hand and your fingers and rub the soles of your feet. Not only does this feel amazing, it also helps open up the energy pathways that connect you to the earth’s energy field. When we are connected to the earth we feel more at peace, have a better sense of belonging, and can think more clearly.
2. Hands on your thighs. Take your hands and rub them together vigorously. Hold them about 6 inches apart and see if you can feel the energy exchange between your palms. It may be a tingling sensation or a warm feeling, or it may feel like water spraying from a hose straight onto the palms of your hands. Now, take your hands and place them on your thighs. Imagine the energy from your hands is running down your legs, through your feet and into the ground (or floor). After a few minutes, you can finish by sweeping your hands down the sides of your legs with light pressure and off your toes. For extra reinforcement of your energy flow you can take your hands and trace up the middle of your legs and end at your torso.
